Product Description
The Speedlite EL-1 (Ver. 2) is capable of micro flashes of power as low as 1/8192 to express colour nuances, along with a high-speed flash recycle time of 0.1 sec and a continuous flash burst of up to 160 times. Apart from being dust and drip-resistance, Speedlite EL-1(Ver.2) can fire up to 340 times at full power of 1/1 with the new LP-EL battery.
14 F-Stops Dynamic Range
The Speedlite EL-1(Ver.2) is engineered to provide stable flash burst at a low flash output. The new structure design with its improved firing circuitry provides precise flash output, making it possible to achieve 1/8192 micro flash. Each reduction of power on the Speedlite reduces the output of the flash by half, effectively providing 1 f-stop of dynamic range. The Speedlite EL-1(Ver.2) offers up to 14 f-stops of dynamic range, from full power of 1/1 down to 1/8192.

Wonders of Micro Flashes
With precise control of up to 14 f-stops of light, you're now able to express your creative visions that were previously not possible. Micro flashes allow accurate lighting that not only complement your images but also ensure more accurate colour reproduction. That hint of light makes the biggest impact, be it for portraits or still-lifes.

Wireless Control
With the Speedlite EL-1(Ver.2), you're able to wirelessly control up to 15 other flash units via radio transmission. If the main transmitter and receivers are all Speedlite EL-1(Ver.2), you could even wirelessly control the flashes to fire micro flashes of 1/8192. The second-curtain synchro feature can also be utilised when paired with compatible Speedlites.

Wirelessly Achieve Your Creative Vision
Controlling off-camera flashes expands the possibilities of lighting your subject, which can better suit your artistic objectives. These off-camera flashes can provide accurate lighting in areas that are not possible with a clip-on flash. They can also be combined to fire together, providing a stronger flash output similar to having your own mini sun.

Operation Features
High-Speed Flash Recycling
Flash recycle time refers to the time it takes for the flash to recharge sufficient energy to fire again and capture the precise moment. The Speedlite EL-1 (Ver. 2)'s charging circuit and the use of a lithium-ion battery enable faster charging times, achieving full recharge in just 0.9 seconds* for a 1/1 output and 0.1 seconds for a 1/8192 output.
*using CP-E4N allows full recharge at 0.4 seconds

Higher Capacity
Using the new LP-EL* lithium-ion battery, the Speedlite EL-1(Ver.2) is capable of up to 340 flashes on a full charge. When paired with CP-E4N, you can achieve up to 640 flashes.
*can be charged with LP-E6N & LP-E6NH battery chargers as well.

High Continuous Burst
With a new xenon bulb and an active cooling system that uses a built-in fan to circulate cool air inside the flash head, the number of continuous flash bursts is increased.
The Speedlite EL-1(Ver.2) is now capable of firing up to 160 times continuously on full power of 1/1.

Improved E-TTL
The improved E-TTL (Evaluative Through-The-Lens) metering allows further customisation to better suit your needs. The Speedlite EL-1(Ver.2) allows you to choose your desired balance (Ambience-priority/ Standard/Strong) based on the available light (Dark/Middle/Light).

Intuitive Interface
The memory-in-pixel reflective LCD display panel of the Speedlite EL-1(Ver.2) provides a clear view of your settings. The addition of a joystick in the middle of the dial provides a more intuitive way to browse through the menu and to make adjustments.

LED Modeling Lamp
The Speedlite EL-1 (Ver. 2) incorporates a set of twin LED modelling lamps with 5-step brightness and colour adjustment into its design. You can better envision the direction of the light from the Speedlite before shooting, allowing for more accurate adjustments.

Durability
Dust & Drip-Resistant Adapter
The rubber adapter is attached to the lock component of the Speedlite, which in turn attaches to the camera's hot shoe. When in locked position, it provides dust and drip-resistance.

Dust & Drip-Resistant Body
Sealings are applied to moving parts and joints, as well as exterior parts, to provide Speedlite EL-1 (Ver. 2) with the dust and drip resistance equivalent to that of the EOS-1D X series. Rubber materials are used on the battery compartment lid and terminal cover.
