Compact and Lightweight

RF24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM is a perfect pair with the EOS RP that provides top-notch quality in a compact size. The lens extends and retracts as you zoom.

It measures 76.6mm in diameter and 88.8mm length when fully retracted. Weighing only at 880g, it is smaller and lighter compared to the RF24-105mm f/4L IS USM.

Macro Function

RF24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM have Center Focus Macro function that allows minimum focusing of approximately 13cm from the sensor which is approximately 2.5cm from the lens, providing a 0.5x magnification at 24mm with manual focus.	When shooting at 105mm, you’re able to achieve a 0.4x magnification in both auto focus and manual focus with a minimum focusing distance of approximately 34cm.

Dual Sensing Imaging Stabilisation

RF24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM supports Dual Sensing Image Stabilisation, which utilises information from the gyro sensors within the lens and image data from the CMOS image sensor within the camera body to achieve a stunning image stabilisation of up to 5 shutter speed stop.

This would mean that you’re able to take sharp image hand held at shutter speed previously not possible.
